The partners are very offended by thisand ask him to change into a One Direction top they have givenhim. William has had enough and tells them “no way f..kyou, f..k off”
The One Direction partners terminatehis employment.
Did One Direction have theright to tell William to change his t-shirt and did they have aright to terminate him? William wants to claim unfairdismissal.

Dress code is something which is a personal choice. But, certainplaces have dress codes which are to be followed according to theplace. For eg. If you are visiting a temple or a church, it isobvious that you will not wear a party wearing glittery and shinyclothes rather you will choose modest and simple clothes. On theother hand, if you are to attend a party, you will not wear aregular clothing, rather you will choose something which is new andshiny. Likewise, office is a place for work. In order to maintainthe goodwill and image of the office, the employers can decide overthe dress code to work. If the employee is assigned the duty ofregular interaction with empoloyees and business, he/she will beadvised to wear something that is pleasing, modest and which canshow you the leader. Some workplaces also have uniforms or suits asdress code for employees.
In the above case, william works for the company that sellswines. However, he works in the back office and only deals withpacking and interacts with delivery person, but according to theemployment law, he cannot wear offensive dressing to the office.The employer has full authority to terminate him from his contractafter intimation. In the above case, william not only refused to doso, but used swear words which are strictly prohibited in theworkplace. The employer has full right to expell him from hisduties.
